Stocking Ornament/Gift Card Holder
This is week one of my six weeks of crochet ornament gift card holder patterns that I plan to share with you this year and first up is the stocking!

Now I know that the stocking has been done before for gift cards, but I decided to make this one out of thread instead of the bulky yarn. I just think that it makes a prettier, more smooth ornament for later on when it’s hanging in your tree. Maybe it’s just me…
So the stocking ornament/gift card holder itself is crocheted using a size 10 thread and the white parts are crocheted using a size 5. Even though their thicknesses are not the same, it isn’t noticeable once your project is completed.
Why give just a gift card as a gift this year when you can whip up one of these adorable stocking ornaments/gift card holder? A card slides easily into the stocking and when they have used the gift card, they still have an ornament for their tree that they can reuse year after year.
Here is a pin for your Pinterest boards…

Hi Elaine! Of course you can use the size 10 thread. I used the #5 because it has a silver strip running through the white. I thought it was more Christmas-y! I’m so glad you’re liking the weekly ornaments! Thank you!
Erica
