This pattern is a six row repeat and the most difficult stitch you need to know is the double crochet. How easy is that? I’ve also created a YouTube stitch tutorial video that can be seen by clicking this link.
The French Lilacs Baby Blanket is a super fun pattern that works up quickly! It doesn’t take long to memorize the stitch pattern. And like I said before, you can create any size blanket you wish simply by using a starting chain with a multiple of 8 + 3.
Even though I chose a simple border for this project, you can add any border that you’d prefer. I thought that the simplicity of single crochets and double crochets would work beautifully with the lacy center portion. I wanted a very wide border as well. Not for any particular reason, I just like wide borders…
So let’s get into this beautiful pattern!
