I used a size 1 super fine sock yarn that is very elastic. I loved how stretchy the finished scarf was. You can use any size yarn that you wish with this pattern. I would recommend that you use whatever size hook is listed on your yarn packaging. Also, be aware that if you use a larger sized yarn, your finished product will be larger than the example. I recommend doing a test swatch to ensure you’re happy with the width.
For the length of the scarf, I worked until there was no more yarn. I left the final row count open so that you could determine how long you wanted your scarf. You could also sew the two ends together to create an infinity scarf if you prefer.

Notes:
- If you’d like to adjust the size of this scarf, use a multiple of 2 chains.
- This pattern works with any size yarn, but please remember that the larger the yarn size, the larger your scarf will be. If you prefer a narrow scarf, you will have to adjust your FC accordingly.
- If you change the yarn size, I recommend using the hook size suggested on your yarn packaging.
- This scarf doesn’t require a final row count. The example was worked until I ran out of yarn. You can add or remove rows to make your scarf any desired length.
- I used sock yarn for this example. If you do the same, keep in mind that it is very elastic yarn. Don’t pull too tightly with your stitches.
