Let’s Cuddle Baby Blanket
Well hello there!
Do you need a last minute baby gift? This super textured and chunky baby blanket works up quickly and easily! It’s a beginner friendly project that will still wow your friends!

The Let’s Cuddle Baby Blanket ended up being stroller sized or even a large cradle blanket, but you can make a blanket in any size that you wish. Simply use a starting chain (foundation chain) with a multiple of 2 plus 1. For example, in this sample blanket, I used a chain of 86, which is divisible evenly by 2, and then added one to get the 87.
With this stitch pattern, you will be working in the back loops and front loops of each stitch, alternating them as you go along. This gives the project that wonderful texture and squishy feel. The only stitch you need to know is the half double crochet stitch. How easy is that!
I purchased this particular yarn at Hobby Lobby when they were running their 30% off all yarn sale, which they seem to run quite often. You can use any brand of blanket yarn that you prefer. You can change the colors or crochet a solid baby afghan — the choice is yours!
