    Hello again!

I’m here to share another photo tutorial with you today.

    This is the Cluster Stitch!

This stitch happens to be another one of my favorites! For some reason, I absolutely love the way the cluster stitch looks when it’s finished. It isn’t the easiest stitch ever created or the fastest to execute, but it’s definitely worth the extra effort when you see the final result!

    Hey everyone!

Today I wanted to share another photo stitch tutorial with you. This is the Grit Stitch!

This stitch is so incredibly easy and versatile! You can use it on just about anything you can imagine. It’s great for clothing, dish cloths, blankets—anything that you would rather didn’t have a lot of holes. The Grit Stitch creates a virtually solid piece of fabric.

This photo tutorial is all about how to change colors using the Suzette Stitch.

Changing the color of the yarn that you are working with isn’t as difficult as you may think. There are quite a few tutorials and videos dedicated to the topic for other stitches, but not many specific to the Suzette Stitch.

If you don’t know how to crochet the Suzette Stitch (which is one of my all time favorites by the way) or just need a refresher, I created another photo tutorial that is available at this link.

UPDATE: A video tutorial has been created for how to change colors using the Suzette Stitch!!! Click here to see the video!

How to Crochet the Suzette Stitch

The Suzette Stitch is one of my absolute favorite crochet stitches to do!

Besides the fact that it is so easy, it creates the most amazing texture and a solid fabric. Sometimes when you’re making blankets or clothing, you don’t want a bunch of holes that let the cold in. This is where the Suzette Stitch shines!

You can use it on quite a few different styles of crochet projects. You only need a multiple of 2 for your chains!

Rag Quilt Baby Hats and Booties

    Hello Everyone!

I’m so excited to give you the patterns for the hats and booties that match the Rag Quilt Style Baby Blanket! There are three size options available for both the hats and the booties. Perfect for a growing baby!

These patterns are easy and work up seriously fast, which is great if you’re looking for something to give as a gift short notice or you just don’t have a ton of time to spend crocheting.

I’ve also included two trim options. If you feel like the ruffle is too feminine, simple single crochets can replace it. I showed the results in the grey version.

    Upcycled Sunflowers

Well, we’re on the downward slope of summer now, heading swiftly into autumn. It will be here before we know it, but I can’t say that I’m that upset about it. Even though I love summer with all its sunshine and warmth, my heart belongs to autumn.

It’s one of those seasons that, at least in Pennsylvania, seems to start out so beautiful with the changing leaves and chill in the air…and a week later…all the leaves are gone, the trees are brown and bare and it’s freezing.

Does anyone remember rag quilts? Does anyone still make them?

I remember some of the quilts that my grandmother used to have and I sincerely wish that I could’ve gotten my hands on a couple. I have no idea if she still has them or if they’re long gone.

So this week’s crochet pattern was inspired by the beloved rag quilt!

    Boho Braided Bucket Bag

    Hi all!

I hope your day is going great. I’m here today to give you another free pattern! And I think I picked the cutest little design for a purse, handbag, pocketbook, suitcase…whatever it is you call it!

Since it’s the middle of summer here, I knew that I wanted to make a bag that I could just throw a few things into and run out the door. When you’re a mother of three little boys, that’s about the best I can do. Everywhere we go is rush, rush, rush and half the time I forget some of the things I was supposed to bring.

    Typical.
