    Cranberry Chill Wrap

    Well hello there!

Today, I’d like to share a new pattern with you…

    The Cranberry Chill Wrap!

This wrap is so stinkin’ easy and beginner friendly. It’s basically a giant rectangle.

The most difficult part is the cluster stitch and I’ve created a great little photo tutorial just to make it even easier! You can find that tutorial here.

With only two days left in August and Autumn swiftly approaching, I thought I’d better get a jump start on my warm outerwear collection for the year!

Rag Quilt Baby Hats and Booties

    Hello Everyone!

I’m so excited to give you the patterns for the hats and booties that match the Rag Quilt Style Baby Blanket! There are three size options available for both the hats and the booties. Perfect for a growing baby!

These patterns are easy and work up seriously fast, which is great if you’re looking for something to give as a gift short notice or you just don’t have a ton of time to spend crocheting.

I’ve also included two trim options. If you feel like the ruffle is too feminine, simple single crochets can replace it. I showed the results in the grey version.

    Upcycled Sunflowers

Well, we’re on the downward slope of summer now, heading swiftly into autumn. It will be here before we know it, but I can’t say that I’m that upset about it. Even though I love summer with all its sunshine and warmth, my heart belongs to autumn.

It’s one of those seasons that, at least in Pennsylvania, seems to start out so beautiful with the changing leaves and chill in the air…and a week later…all the leaves are gone, the trees are brown and bare and it’s freezing.

Does anyone remember rag quilts? Does anyone still make them?

I remember some of the quilts that my grandmother used to have and I sincerely wish that I could’ve gotten my hands on a couple. I have no idea if she still has them or if they’re long gone.

So this week’s crochet pattern was inspired by the beloved rag quilt!

    Boho Braided Bucket Bag

    Hi all!

I hope your day is going great. I’m here today to give you another free pattern! And I think I picked the cutest little design for a purse, handbag, pocketbook, suitcase…whatever it is you call it!

Since it’s the middle of summer here, I knew that I wanted to make a bag that I could just throw a few things into and run out the door. When you’re a mother of three little boys, that’s about the best I can do. Everywhere we go is rush, rush, rush and half the time I forget some of the things I was supposed to bring.

    Typical.

    Hey everyone!

I could not be more happy with how this Cappuccino Triangle Shawl turned out! This was the first time that I had ever tried the Red Heart Boutique Unforgettable line of yarn and I tell you what…It’s awesome! It is incredibly soft and the natural color changes throughout the skeins make for a beautiful work of art.

So here I am again with another upcycled garland pattern. I just love these so much. I get to make something pretty and upcycle something that might otherwise end up in a landfill. I do recycle religiously, but I’m hoping that by sharing this pattern, other people could help out in the fight against polluting the planet. I realize it’s a small gesture, however, I honestly believe that big things begin with little steps!

    Granny Square Cabin Rug

The Granny Square Cabin Rug is such a fun little project! I’ve made several rugs in my crocheting lifetime and I’m currently using five in my home—they last a really long time. I’ve had mine for years and washed them tons of times. I’m very happy with how durable they are. I always make them with multiple strands of yarn at the same time, which makes them super thick and comfortable under your feet.

    Happy 4th of July!

Summer is in full swing now. The days are long and the sun is HOT! And because of Memorial Day, the 4th of July and Labor Day, how could we not celebrate America all summer long? Personally, I keep Americana decorations up all year, but summer tends to be the peek of country pride season.
