    Grand Canyon Shawl

    I adore shawls!

With this pattern, I kind of worked backwards in my design. First I picked the yarn. This pattern uses the Lion Brand Heartland yarn. This is the first time I’ve ever worked with this and I tell you what…I don’t think I’ve ever felt a softer yarn. Hands down. And I’m not an affiliate for Lion Brand.

    Grand Canyon Shawl Photo Tutorial

I wanted to share a photo tutorial with you today to help you better understand the stitches and increases necessary to crochet the Grand Canyon Shawl.

This tutorial assumes that you are already familiar with how to crochet the basic stitches of chains and double crochets.

I will also be including photos depicting the four double crochet decrease (dc4tog) that is also required.

    Boo!

    Did I scare you?

    No? Okay.

So somehow I managed to miss decorating my house for autumn this year, which is highly unusual for me since this is my favorite season. I just chocked it up to being super busy with work.

    Happy harvest everyone!

    I love pumpkin everything!!!

Autumn is my most favorite season and I just adore pumpkins—carving them, eating foods made from them and, best of all, decorating with them!

    Halloween Bag Trio

    October is here!

    Hey everyone!

I hope you’re having an awesome week.

I’m here today with my first Halloween themed crochet pattern for you. I really enjoyed making these. They were quick and super easy.

    Light & Lacy Poncho

    Well hey there!

I called this week’s pattern the Light & Lacy Poncho because I crocheted it using baby weight yarn! Bernat Softee Baby, to be exact and I tell you what—I’m so glad I did!

If you want a light weight garment that is airy and soft, yet can keep you warm during a sudden Autumn breeze, then this is the poncho for you!

  • 3-Double Crochet Puff Stitch Photo Tutorial

Here is a really quick photo tutorial for how to crochet the 3-Double Crochet Puff Stitch that is required for the Light & Lacy Poncho pattern.

These photos were taken as I was crocheting the border on the poncho, but if you were working them as a normal row of crochet, you would skip 2 stitches in between each 3-dc puff stitch.

  • Angled Clusters Scarf

    angled clusters scarf

I have to laugh since I just finished crocheting this Angled Clusters Scarf and the temperature today is in the upper 70’s! Last week we were cozy in our sweaters or hoodies, which prompted me to choose this project.

It just goes to show how unpredictable Pennsylvania weather can be.

That’s also one of the reasons that I don’t pack away my families clothes based on the season. I’ve heard that people from other places and climates do that, but honestly, it would be a waste of time for us. We need a variety of clothing categories year round.

    Hey everyone!

I’ve been seeing these super chunky cowls since last year (I may be late to the party…lol) and I’ve been wanting to make my own.

That’s one of the things I love about being able to crochet. I can recreate trendy, beautiful items without spending a fortune at a boutique!

    Cranberry Chill Wrap

    Well hello there!

Today, I’d like to share a new pattern with you…

    The Cranberry Chill Wrap!

This wrap is so stinkin’ easy and beginner friendly. It’s basically a giant rectangle.

The most difficult part is the cluster stitch and I’ve created a great little photo tutorial just to make it even easier! You can find that tutorial here.
